Christian Henrichs is an executive coach, licensed psychotherapist, and internationally experienced trainer from Cologne, Germany. He is President of the German Association for Positive and Transcultural Psychotherapy (DGPP). His international work comprises projects in more than 20 countries and over 80 organizations.
He combines psychological expertise with management know-how, intercultural experience, and a humanistic attitude. His coaching offering is aimed at executives at all levels — from DAX-listed companies to government-related organizations — as well as at professionals who want to develop further in light of new responsibilities, who want to deal better with the personal aspects of leadership, or who are looking for a constructive approach to current conflicts.
Coaching is a particularly sustainable form of professional development, in which complex emotional and methodical skills are practiced and consolidated through everyday challenges. The development of personal resources is just as important as working out practical solutions.
My offering is aimed at teams who want to position themselves sustainably and effectively in dynamic environments. The focus is on aligning motivational and emotional issues, as well as clarifying values, roles, and cooperation standards. In the workshops, I create a clear framework for "head, heart, and hand" — from activating resources to concrete collaboration. Thanks to my psychotherapeutic expertise, I also guide challenging dynamics safely and constructively.
In conflict mediation, I help teams and executives clarify entrenched working relationships and develop viable solutions. Problems are inventoried in a protected setting, possible solution scenarios are worked through, practical agreements are reached, and these are gradually anchored in everyday practice. Following the motto "friction creates warmth", my experience in emotionally charged as well as intercultural contexts helps me use differing perspectives to de-escalate. If needed, I support the process over several sessions with additional individual conversations.
At the outset, we jointly clarify the starting point and objectives; after that, we proceed step by step — strengthening personal resources and developing practical solutions are equally important throughout. The duration and frequency of sessions are agreed freely and are based on your needs.
"... and then we keep working step by step. Following the motto: 'There is no elevator to happiness — you have to take the stairs' (Nossrat Peseschkian). In other contexts, I advise teams and executives on conflicts and change processes, and train therapists and coaches in various countries."
